Upon coming to Roane State, she started in all 91 games played by the Raiders. During her freshman campaign Freels led the team in several categories:

Her home run total was eighth-best in the NJCAA and her slugging percentage was in the Top 25 nationally. She was named a 2014 NJCAA All-Conference First Team infielder as well as a 2014 NJCAA All-Conference Academic Scholar. That same year, Freels was presented with the Roane State Softball Award, the President’s Award and was named to the Dean’s List.

After the 2015 season, Freels moved on to play ball for Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tennessee.
